Things to do near Round Rock, Texas

Did you know there’s an AWESOME Adventure Farm called Sweet Eats Fruit Farm located 29 Minutes Northeast of Round Rock?

In 1851, a small community of settlers was formed near a large, round rock located in the middle of Brushy Creek. This round rock marked the convenient low-water crossing for wagons, horses and cattle, which helped many of the settlers travel the area. The first postmasters called the community Brushy Creek, but in 1854 the small settlement was renamed Round Rock in honor of this now famous rock marked in the low-water crossing. The “round rock” is located near Chisholm Trail Street in the middle of Brushy Creek. Jesse Chisholm began to move cattle from South Texas through Round Rock, on the way to Abilene, Kansas. The route he established, which crossed Brushy Creek at the round rock, became known as the Chisholm Trail. Most of the old buildings, including the old Saint Charles Hotel, are still there today. This historic area is now called “Old Town.” Today, there is an estimated number of 108,000+ residents that call Round Rock home. With that many people in an area all looking for something to do, what better way than to escape the city and head toward a fun adventure farm!

My son and I had a blast here! He is almost 2 so I was worried he wouldn’t really enjoy it but I was so wrong. He loved the pumpkins and I feel like he actually enjoyed the scenery. He did not want to leave. His favorite was the jumping pad. Mine was the animals but there’s a ton more! $12 very well spent for an entire day of fun. We got some super cute pictures. We will definitely be back
