Things to do near Buda, Texas
Did you know there’s an AWESOME Adventure Farm called Sweet Eats Fruit Farm located a little over one hour directly northeast of Buda?
Buda was land owned by Mrs, Cornelia A. Trimble in 1880. When the Great Northern Railroad started the expansion of the railroad track connecting San Antonio and Austin, this gave Mrs. Trimble’s land the potential to plant a city. She took that opportunity to build something great and the town of Buda was established in April of 1881. Buda was previously known as Du Pre and had to change their name when the US Postal Service discovered there was already another town with that name. The town gained a reputation as a popular place to eat and rest for rail travelers. Buda was incorporated in 1948, but it wasn’t until the mid-1980’s that it saw growth. As of 2019 Buda is home to approximately 17,000 residents! With that many people in an area all looking for something to do, what better than to escape the city and head toward farm animals and fun!!

We just went here on a 1st grade field trip. The employees were very friendly, and truthfully the animals were very friendly, which means they were treated correctly. Beautiful property and lots to do for a family or class field trip. I am looking forward to doing back towards the holidays.
